What works does the issuance of approval for small-scale construction work concern?
In general, approvals for small-scale construction work concern construction work that does not create new construction (new buildings or spaces), and mainly concern reforms and repairs to existing buildings or properties. Indicatively, the works for which the issuance of approval for small-scale construction work is required are the following:
a) test sections of the soil and excavation following a document from the archaeological service and for works required for geotechnical investigations.
b) installation of prefabricated houses, to meet the housing needs of disadvantaged and special population groups
c) pumping facilities and buildings with the absolutely necessary dimensions for their housing
d) construction of underground cemetery facilities
e) installation of temporary structures
f) construction of an elevator
g) cutting of trees within approved street plans, ZOE, as well as in settlements
h) underground distribution or measurement and regulation stations of natural gas
i) installation of scaffolding
j) installation of construction site houses
k) excavation of cable routing channels within the grounds or plots of liquid fuel stations for the installation of input-output systems
l) external painting works or replacement of railings or repair of coatings or repair of facades, using scaffolding
m) facade cladding and replacement of glass curtains, using scaffolding
n) construction of pergolas with an area of more than fifty (50) sq.m. in uncovered areas, front gardens, ground floor terraces and construction of pergolas on roofs, outdoor areas and open balconies regardless of area
o) installation of an uncovered water tank or swimming pool, with a maximum area of fifty (50) sq.m., type compa.
p) ventilation ducts and other installations
q) internal arrangements, as well as works for changing use for which the issuance of a building permit is not required, provided that the elements of the building's load-bearing structure are not affected and the loads and the seismic significance category are not changed for the worse in accordance with the anti-seismic regulation
r) construction of green roofs and green surfaces
s) installation of external thermal insulation or passive solar systems on the external facades
k) maintenance and repair of roofs using scaffolding
k) simple masonry walls up to a height of one (1.00) meter or fencing of light material of fields in areas outside the plan and in settlements without a city plan
kb) fencing with a rough construction, such as wire mesh, on plots not paved in the plan areas
kc) construction of a single stone-built warehouse per cultivated farm, with an area of up to fifteen (15) square meters and a total height with the roof of up to three (3.00) meters, after approval by the competent Directorate of Agriculture
kd) construction of stoves and ovens with their chimneys, for professional use
kc) construction of fireplaces with their chimneys on horizontal properties used as a residence
kf) roof reconstruction
kf) functional joining of spaces
kh) installation of antennas, except for radio and television signal reception antennas, as well as radio communication and mobile telephony antennas
l) installation of an autonomous heating system
la) canopies and sheds, under conditions
lb) interventions on the facades of buildings for the modification or opening of new openings, where permitted
lc) rough wooden structures for auxiliary use up to 8 sq.m. and a maximum height of 2.50 meters, placed in the uncovered area
ld) installation works of photovoltaic systems
ld) installation works of wind turbines
ld) separation of horizontal properties
ld) installation of noise protection structures (sound barriers) on roofs or in uncovered areas of existing special buildings, with the aim of damping sounds coming from air conditioning machines
ld) installation of prefabricated kindergarten halls, outside traditional settlements
ld) constructions within a plot-field to create entrance areas to plots and fields
ld) installation of small and large green areas
